The Honeywell T53-L-701 turboshaft engine installed in our UH-1H+ is the powerhouse that improves the durability and stability of the already legendary Huey. With 1400 shaft horsepower output to the rotor system, this engine can have the main rotor system spinning at 100% with very little effort – and keep that iconic Huey rotor sound alive for years to come.
